would agree, was good, but none

other comes forth when I speak

in rescuing the 3rd world briefly

from its pollution, its way
of doing business based on super
models transposed to their tvs.

The way the counterpoints must spoil
your blond patriotism, the world
cutting both ways, almost destroying

your blueprint for freedom, briefly,
is like the way sand showers
the wasted land of Mesopotamia.
