MAVERICK MAGAZINE
The Voice of American Poetic Arts

SUBMISSIONS POLICY

MAVERICK is dedicated to the discovery and display of those most rare and vital poems, those poems which resonate soundly with the rich, original and visionary imagery, language and content that is the maverick impulse; the best and most important vein of the American poetic tradition.

MAVERICK seeks to place strong, cutting-edge work by emerging writers together with new work by established writers to create the first high-quality digital forum for the very best contemporary poetry.

As we are a digital magazine, we strongly encourage submissions via e-mail. However, we also recognize that for many of our finer poets, cyberspace is at best a dubious entity to be regarded with considerable suspicion. That being the case, we also welcome submissions via "snail" mail, with the caveat that our response time will be greatly increased.

When submitting material electronically, authors should send no more than 5 or 6 poems (5-6 printed pages ) as individual attachments (preferably MS Word, Word Perfect 5.0, .pdf, .rtf, or plain text) to:

submissions@maverickmagazine.com

For the subject line, put the title of the poem, and in the body, type a brief (3-4 sentences) biography.

When submitting material by U.S. Post, authors should send no more than 5 or 6 poems (5-6 printed pages), along with a brief bio and SASE to:
